Science Department Landing Party
Fort Worth Zoo Saturday 07 Nov 2015 First Officer Clark, reporting The USS Regulator sent a Landing Party to the FW Zoo today. First, though, the Party rendezvoused at Ol' South Pancake House for lunch. Seven of us enjoyed each other's company for the meal: Fleet Captain Tank Clark, Commander Tracy Clark; Commander Cynthia Crouch, Major Roon Marchant, Lieutenant Perry Brulotte, Chief Warrant Officer Glen Wilkerson, and our Chief of Sciences, Crewman Melissa Brulotte. After a wonderful repast, CDR Crouch and CWO2 Wilkerson returned to the ship, whilst the other five took a shuttle to the nearby zoo. The weather was ideal: not very warm, but not cold; partly sunny, not much wind. We stuck with tradition, and 'followed the left hand wall' as we explored the zoo. Amongst the animals we saw were flamingos, snakes, crocodiles, turtles, fish & other aquatic creatures, bears, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, bats, spiders, insects, kangaroos, penguins, elephants, rhinos, tigers, lions, and a surfeit of birds. All hands had a marvelous time, and I'm sure we will schedule a return trip! Fleet Captain Clark, First Officer, USS Regulator
