Captain's Battle Blog, ISS Regulator; Flip's Patio Grill, Fort Worth, TX ----------------- Weather prohibited our invasion of a park in Fort Worth to hold our "Mirror Month Picnic," so the Imperial Star Ship Regulator sent her landing party to conquer a restaurant called Flips, not too far away. This was an excellent choice for a secondary target. The natives were easily subdued and joined the Terran Empire without argument, and we spent a few hours enjoying the food and beverages they had to offer. The patio was cool and comfortable, the food was tasty, the beverages enjoyable. We spliced the mainbrace joyfully. The landing party consisted of: BDR Tank Clark, COMM Liz Goulet, LCDR Tracy Clark, MCPT Roon Marchant, LTJG Michael Cross, ENS Perry Brulotte, MCPO Alan Goulet, and PO1 Michelle Goulet. Melissa Brulotte also joined us. A brief contest of knowledge was headed by Roon, regarding the glory of the "Mirror" universe: Tank and Perry won first and last place, respectively. It was agreed that we should return to this place again, and that we should find other places to invade at random intervals. Clark, commanding ISS Regula

ISS REGULATOR Ship's Meeting Shady Oaks BBQ, Ft Worth, TX A Huge turnout today at Shady Oaks -- (in no particular order): CDR Crouch, LCDR Clark, COMM Goulet, 2LT Stone, MCPO Goulet, LT Cornatzer, ENS Fralicks, RADM Winans, LTJG Cross, PO1 Goulet, PO3 Chaffin, CMN Kuykendall, ENS Brulotte, & ENS Gabbert, as well as three guests (including CWO Glenn Wilkerson of the USS Joshua) A brief Department Heads meeting was held before the regular Crew Meeting, at which revisions to the Ship's Handbook and Ship's General Orders were approved. Following this meeting, it was announced to the Crew that Alcohol will be permitted at the Klingon Dinner Thing in October. Those who wish to drink that are driving will be required to give their keys to the Executive Officer; she will determine if the individual in question will get their keys back at the end of the night, or if they will have to get a ride. COMM Goulet presented the non-trivia before-meeting activity: a "Mad Libs" with a Mirror theme. ENS Brulotte was judged to be the winner. Next week's Mirror Month Picnic was discussed; everyone seems very excited. The Promotion Review Board has submitted its report to the Captain; I will take their advice whilst preparing promotions for the Klingon Dinner Thing. Department reports were made. The Rangers' new logo was accepted by the Ship at-large, and the Crew agreed to inform me as to who amongst us considers themselves to be part of the Klingon Crew. An open announcement was made about the Terran Empire Command's first ship: The ISS BOXER (NCC-1836), (Fleet Captain Tank Clark, Commanding). I believe that with as much fun that the REGULATOR has had playing in the Mirror-verse, we'll have a lot of fun with the BOXER living there full time. The winner of the "How To Kill The Captain" Essay contest was ENS. Perry Brulotte -- or should that be "Captain Brulotte?" Fun stuff! Clark, Commanding REGULATOR, out. Glory to the EMPIRE! |
